3 Easy Golf Tips to Practice at Home this Winter or Anytime

Hi this is Kris Moe, I’m going to share with you three exercises that you can do in the wintertime you know and I here i am at the house just to make it very clear that you can do this in your living room in your garage is anywhere where you can you can actually be dry and somewhat warm ok so i got my jacket on here because it is a little bit chilly this first exercise you can do with small swings or big swings and it’s going to really help you so when you hit the ground when you are in the spring time next year you’ll be able to your game is going to be there and you won’t have to spend a couple months trying to get it up to speed I share this with all my students if you do this five minutes twice a week during season and do great maybe during the wintertime maybe do it two or three times a week so here’s that first exercise what you’re going to do is click create like a little hitting station here maybe it’s on your carpet but you can see I’ve got these two aim sticks on the ground and your goal is going to be to swing and actually try to scuff the carpet in this case on this side of the purple stick so I’m gonna do with some chips swings and as I’m doing that what I’m training is a through motion I can’t emphasize enough how important this is because golfers want to hit the golf ball too much so this exercise is going to train you to true get more accurate the bottom of your swing and I want you to also work towards when you swing thru keep this front left wrist flat ok here’s another common thing these people in troubles everybody wants to help the ball go up in the air so what you swing through and keeping this relationship between the shaft and your left arm you can kind of see as it goes through its here as opposed to hear there’s our first exercise if you just did that with small swings and work up to bigger swings so you can get really good at scuffing the ground fantastic for extra credit good and throw a wiffle ball in there are ping-pong ball which won’t hurt anything in the house ok another exercise that you can do is going to help you with rotational power is you’re going to hold the club up here about belt I and I’d like you to do horizontal swings or baseball like swings and try to create a nice loud whoosh so what you’re doing with this exercise for one you’re getting the feeling top spikeless golf shoes of your the core of your body being really the engine of over your powers coming from you’re gonna get this really cool sense of the sequence of the golf swing and you can work towards getting more speed with the wish sound ok so now I’m throwing the third exercise you can do i’m going to suggest you get a kettlebell this was 18 pounds this is one of the best exercises you can do I think of all time what you’re going to do great for your glutes but what you do is you swing it up like this and what you’re going to be learning from this is the power you’re getting from pushing up from the ground you’re not only working out your legs are getting this wonderful feeling of the the energy that’s created from pushing off from the ground as if I was throwing a ball underhand the farther i want to throw this ball the morning to push up from the ground if you did this two to three times a week even just 25 times i can see you work up to maybe fifty times three times a week doing this and it looks pretty easy not lifting with my arms i’m using the force of my leg straightening out it’ll do so much for you can already feel my heart rate is going up a little bit from a couple of those great exercise to those three tips for those three light exercises will winterize your golf game and so you can enjoy golf as soon as you come back next spring thanks for watching.
